Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Famd mobile applications, website, and related services.
1. What Famd does
Famd helps adults discover and communicate with other families who may have compatible interests, children of similar ages, or other things in common. Famd provides tools for introductions and communication. Famd does not guarantee friends, matches, activities, or compatible families, and does not supervise relationships or meetings.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and currently located in the United States to use Famd. By creating an account, you represent that you have legal capacity, your information is materially accurate, you are not prohibited from using the service, and you will use Famd only for lawful purposes.
3. Family and child information
Adults may provide limited information about children in their household to support discovery, such as age, gender, and interests. Do not provide children’s full names, photographs, contact information, school details, home address, or unnecessary identifying information. Children do not have Famd accounts and may not use Famd independently.
4. Accounts and profiles
Keep account credentials secure and notify Famd of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. Profiles and matches are suggestions, not guarantees of compatibility, identity, safety, or accuracy.
5. No background checks or identity guarantee
Famd does not represent that users are background-checked, identity-verified, or safe. You are responsible for using good judgment, protecting personal information, and deciding whether to communicate or meet.
6. Meeting other users
Use caution when meeting someone for the first time. Consider choosing a public place, telling a trusted person where you will be, arranging your own transportation, meeting during daylight, and leaving if you feel uncomfortable. Never share more information than you are comfortable sharing.
7. Messaging and acceptable use
Famd messaging is text-only. Do not use Famd to harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, scam, impersonate, discriminate against, or endanger another person; solicit sexual content; share unnecessary sensitive information about a child; collect information for unrelated purposes; or use the service for unlawful, commercial, or automated activity.
8. Reporting and moderation
Famd may provide tools to report, block, or unmatch. We may review relevant content and take actions including warnings, removal of content, restrictions, suspension, or termination when we reasonably believe a user has violated the Terms, Community Guidelines, or law. We cannot promise that every concern will be identified or resolved.
9. Deletion, privacy, and third parties
You may delete your account from the app or follow the instructions at famd.app/delete-account. Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. The service may depend on third-party authentication, infrastructure, analytics, and notification providers, which have their own terms and policies.
10. Free service, changes, and availability
Famd is free and ad-free. We may add paid or sponsored features in the future with appropriate notice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the service will be error-free.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Famd is provided as available without guarantees of compatibility, friendship, safety, identity, accuracy, or any meeting outcome. We are not responsible for user conduct or offline interactions. Liability limitations, indemnification, governing law, changes, and other general terms apply as set out in the full Terms provided in the Famd service.
