Delete Your Famd Account

Delete your account in the Famd app

You may be asked to reauthenticate before deletion for security purposes.

1. Open Famd.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select Account.
4. Select Delete Account.
5. Review the deletion information and confirm that you want to permanently delete your account.

What gets deleted?

Deleting your account will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, including your Famd profile, information about your family and children included in your family profile, adult profile photos, matches and connections, messages, matching and discovery preferences, and other account-associated personal information. Your account will no longer be available to other Famd users.

Information we may retain

Some limited information may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud or abuse prevention, user safety, resolving disputes, enforcing the Terms and Community Guidelines, or security and audit purposes. Encrypted backups may retain information temporarily until overwritten through the normal backup lifecycle.

Deleting a parent profile or family

Where a family account contains more than one adult profile, Famd may provide options to delete an individual parent profile or permanently delete the entire family account. Famd will identify which option you are choosing before deletion is confirmed.

Can’t access the app?

Email privacy@famd.app from the email address associated with your Famd account. We may need to verify that you control the account. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, government identification, or sensitive information by email unless Famd specifically requests an appropriate verification method.

How long does deletion take?

We will begin processing an authenticated deletion request promptly. Deletion from active Famd systems will generally be completed within 30 days, unless information must be retained for a legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or safety purpose. Backup copies may remain for a limited additional period.
